Salix Homes staff team up to support Riding for the Disabled and Salford Lads and Girls Club

On Sunday, 1 September 2019 two teams of Salix Homes colleagues took part in the Racecourse Relays at the former Manchester Racecourse at Kersal Wetlands last weekend.

The Prestwich Athletics Club organised the event to raise money for Riding for the Disabled and Salford Lads and Girls Club.

Team one, made up of Maria Lester, Matt Moore, Dayle Flannigan and Steve Finbow, completed the course in 26th place with a time of 42.49 minutes.

In team two were Stewart Kerr, Briony Branson, Steve Cass and Craig Graham. Their time of 44.45 minutes placed them 33rd out of 52 teams.

Money was raised for the two charities through a raffle and a Dress Down day to raise a grand total of £371.00. Donations can still be made through runner Steve Finbow’sJustGiving page.

Well done to all the Salix Runners, and thank you to everyone that donated. The money raised will go to two very worthy causes.
