Salix Homes appoints new executive director

Salix Homes has appointed a new executive director to our leadership team.

Liam Turner has been appointed as Executive Director of Assets, Growth and Sustainability – a newly created post with responsibility for property, building safety, development and sustainability.

He has worked at Salix Homes for more than 10 years, most recently as Director of Property Services, where his remit included repairs, asset management and sustainability.

Liam now joins the four-strong Executive Management Team at Salix Homes.

He said: “After working at Salix Homes for the past decade, I’m truly honoured to join the Executive Management Team and look forward to continuing to work with our Board, partners, customers and colleagues to provide and maintain a high-quality housing service in Salford that we can all be proud of.

“Over the past few years, Salix Homes has made great strides in improving building safety and in developing new and affordable homes to help tackle the housing crisis, so I’m committed to continuing to develop these areas, while ensuring our customers are firmly at the heart of our organisation and that our services reflect this.”

Liam started his career in housing 16 years ago, working in housing management as a neighbourhood officer before working his way through the ranks in a number of areas including customer service, environments, asset management and repairs.
