Our year in review 2023/24

It’s been another busy year for Salix Homes and you can read all about it in our latest Annual Review for 2023/2024.

Every year, we publish a review sharing our successes and achievements over the past 12 months, explaining how we’ve responded to the challenges we’ve faced, and setting out our key priorities for the future.

We’re about so much more than just providing homes, we deliver services to improve lives and enhance communities, as well as provide support to help our customers to live, grow and thrive.

This year has been about getting back to our roots and refocusing on our core values to provide good quality homes and services to our customers, through the launch of a new operating model and ways of working.

We’ve been getting to know our customers and their homes better, improving the energy efficiency of our housing stock, delivering new, affordable and sustainable homes and leading the way on building safety.

Social value also plays a huge part of our business activity, so within our Annual Review for 2023-24 you can also find out more about the difference we’ve made for our customers and communities that goes beyond bricks and mortar – from supporting people into work to investing in grassroots community projects.

The past year has not been without its challenges, for both the housing sector and our organisation, but we’re proud to report another year of strong progress and growth, strengthening our relationship with customers and improving homes and communities across Salford and beyond.

Here’s just some of the highlights:

  • Invested £13.55 million improving homes.

  • Carried out 27,381 repairs.
