Nominations open for the Spirit of Salford Community Awards

Nominations are now open for the Spririt of Salford Community Awards.

The awards celebrate the great and diverse work that goes on in the city’s communities and neighbourhoods.

The categories for this year’s awards are:

• Young Person of the Year
• Volunteer of the Year
• Good Neighbour of the Year
• Best Health Achievement
• Best Environmental Improvement
• Best Community Safety Project
• Best Age-Friendly Project

There will also be special awards for:

• Citizen of the Year
• Community Group of the Year
• Public Servant of the year

The awards, which are being supported by Salix Homes, are an opportunityto say thank you to theresidents, communitygroups, volunteers andpublic servants whowork tirelessly to makeour communities greatplaces to live, learn andwork.

The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony at the AJ Bell Stadium on March 14.
