New Environmental Service will ensure cleaner, greener communities
Salix Homes has launcheda new Environmental Service to ensure communities across Salford are clean and green.
The new and improved service launches this week following a consultation with residents, and will see a raft of new measures introduced to tidy up our neighbourhoods.
As part of the initiative, a Fly-tipping Team is being introduced which will target the illegal dumping of waste in our communities.
Dedicated caretakers are also being introduced at our tower blocks, as well as a Green Spaces Team and a Gardening Team responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of communal gardens and green areas.
Liam Turner, environmental services manager at Salix Homes, said: “We are committed to improving the service we offer our customers and that’s why we are investing in this new Environmental Service, which takes on board the issues that customers have told us matter the most to them.
“Fly-tipping, clean communal areas in our tower blocks and well maintained gardens are all key concerns that residents raise with us time and time again, and our new and improved service will ensure we can better tackle these environmental issues.
“Here at Salix Homes, we are committed to ensuring our neighbourhoods are safe, clean and green, and we are confident that the changes we are implementing will help ensure Salford remains a great place to live and work.”
The new service will also offer a number of apprenticeship positions for local people.
