Echo Dot Prize Draw Terms and Conditions
SALIX HOMES AMAZON ECHO DOT PRIZE DRAW TERMS AND CONDITIONS (“Terms”)
1. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) specify the terms and conditions of the Amazon Echo Dot Promotion organized by the Promoter.
2. The Promoter of the Salix Homes free prize draw (“prize draw”) is Salix Homes, having its registered office at Diamond House, 2 Peel Cross Rd, Salford M5 4DT.
3. The promotion is free to enter and no purchase is necessary to enter into this promotion.
4. To enter the promotion you must:
Be a tenant or tenants are the person(s) so named on Salix Homes Tenancy Details records.
Take out a new policy on the Salix Homes Contents Insurance Scheme.
Already have an existing Salix Homes Home Contents Insurance Policy. Existing Policyholders can enter by emailing, salix.incomemanagement@salixhomes.co.uk
5. Entries received after the closing date, i.e. after 13th April 2025 will not be accepted. Entries that are incomplete, or illegible will be disqualified.
6. The Amazon Echo Dot will be issued after three consecutive months worth of payments have been made to the insurance policy. If these payments are not made, the tenant will not be entitled to the Amazon Echo Dot.
7. For monthly Direct Debit payers we require 3 consecutive monthly payments. If these payments are not made, the tenant will not be entitled to the Amazon Echo Dot.
8. The Promotion is open only to residents of the United Kingdom.
9. Entrants must be over 18 years and may be asked to provide verification of age before the prize will be issued.
10. The promotion is not open to current employees of Salix Homes, its affiliates (meaning an entity that is Controlled by, Controlling or in common Control with Salix Homes where “Control” means the power to direct or cause the direction of the management and policies of an entity, whether through the ownership of voting shares, by contract or otherwise) or any person directly or indirectly involved in the organisation or running of the promotion.
11. Only one entry per entrant can be entered into the promotion. If multiple entries are submitted, only one entry will be counted per entrant.
12. Five tenants will win the prize of an Amazon Echo Dot Smart Device 5th Generation.
13. The prize is non-transferable, or redeemable for cash, and will only be awarded to the promotion winners.
14. The prize winners will be chosen at random from the eligible entries submitted in accordance with these Terms.
15. The prize winner will be chosen after the closing date specified in clause 5 above, however no later than 31st July 2025.
16. The prize winner will be notified by post, to the address on the application form.
17. Use of a false name or address by a promotion entrant, will disqualify them from receiving the prize.
18. Salix Homes decision regarding the prize winners will be final and binding, and no correspondence regarding that decision will be entered into.
19. Salix Homes will retain the prize winner’s personal details for a reasonable time in order that prizes can be sent to the prize winner. All personal data held for the purpose of this promotion will be treated in accordance with Salix Homes privacy notice available here.
20. Salix Homes will ensure that the prize is delivered within 60 days of the day the prize winner provides Salix Homes with the delivery address and other details indicated by Salix Homes necessary for delivery of the prize. Where delivery within the abovementioned deadline is not possible, Salix Homes will notify the prize winner of the delay.
21. In case Salix Homes does not receive any correspondence from the prize winner (pertaining to the prize winner’s address or other details) within 90 days following the notification of the prize winner or the prize winner does not claim the prize delivered in accordance with clause 19, their claim is null and void.
22. No alternative prize shall be available, save that when, due to circumstances beyond our control, the prize is not available, Salix Homes reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal value.
23. In the event of unforeseen circumstances Salix Homes reserves the right to amend or withdraw the promotion without notice.
24. Salix Homes accepts no responsibility for entries lost, damaged or delayed in transit, including due to a technical fault.
25. If the prize is unclaimed after reasonable efforts have been made by the Promoter to contact the prize winner or, if in Salix Homes reasonable opinion, awarding the prize to the prize winner may conflict with Salix Homes Anti-Corruption Policy, Code of Business Conduct or any applicable anti-corruption laws, the prize will no longer be available to that individual without any liability to Salix Homes and a new prize winner will be chosen at random from among the remaining eligible entries.
26. To the fullest extent permitted by law, all liability of Salix Homes for damages and losses, costs, expenses, charges, and claims incurred in or connected with the use of the prize, or the prize winner’s inability to utilise the prize, except where it is caused by the negligence of Salix Homes, is excluded. Salix Homes shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or disappointment suffered by any person participating or not being able to participate in the promotion. Entrants’ statutory rights are not affected.
27. Any tax liability arising from the award of the prize shall be the responsibility of the prize winner. In case of any doubts, the prize winner should seek independent tax advice upon acceptance of the prize.
28. These terms and conditions shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales and the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
29. Each of the provisions of these Terms is severable. In case any such provision is held by any court or other competent authority to be unenforceable, illegal or void, in whole or in part, the enforceability, legality and of the remaining provisions of these Terms shall not be affected or impaired.
30. Entrants are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions upon entry. Salix Homes reserves the right to refuse entry or refuse to award the prize to anyone in breach of these terms and conditions.
31. Any person or persons found to be in breach of any of the above rules will be disqualified automatically.
