Take the #BreakTheCycle challenge for Credit Union Awareness Week

You can become a smooth operator during Credit Union Awareness Week.

Salix Homes is supporting Salford’s first ever awareness week of this kind (October 17-23) to highlight another way for local people to save, borrow and plan for tomorrow.

To celebrate the week, we’re inviting our customers to #BreakTheCycle by finding out more aboutSalford Credit Union.

You can have a go on the juice bike in the Diamond House reception area on Friday, 21 October from 11am until 1pm, and have a chat with credit union reps.

You can also take away the smoothie you created after being on the juice bike.

We’ve fully behind Salford Credit Union which is an ethical and affordable savings and loans provider. Our chief executive Lee Sugden (pictured) has pledged his support and signed up to the credit union this week.

Last year, the local credit union helped members break the cycle of costly debt and save £1million thanks to great loan deals compared to the likes of payday and doorstep lenders and credit cards.

You can find out more about the credit union by clickinghere.

You can also enter a competition to win an Afternoon Tea for Two at The Lowry Hotel by answering the following question:

How much has Salford Credit Union saved the worker bees of Salford in loan interest in the last year?

a) £1million

b) £20,000

c) £100,000
