Love Your Neighbourhood: Volunteers urged to join in Broughton spring clean

Salix Homes is looking for volunteers to take part in the Great British Spring Clean this March.

We will be holding a litter-pick in the Broughton area on Friday, 3 March, as part of a new national campaign to get people out cleaning their areas.

Last year Salix Homes introduced Love Your Neighbourhood, a new way of working to improve its communities and transform the services it provides for its customers.

Our newly-integrated Environmental Services Team and new Neighbourhood Teams, with the help of volunteers, will join thousands across the country to clear up the litter that blights our areas.

Sue Sutton, executive director of operations at Salix Homes, said: “Looking after our neighbourhoods and tackling litter and fly-tipping are huge priorities for Salix Homes.

“We’re delighted to take part in The Great British Spring Clean which is about everyone working together to clean up the litter that blights our landscape and communities and tackle issues that many people care passionately about.”

Anyone is welcome to join us on Friday, 3 March (10.30am-3pm) at RITA Community House, 89 Heath Avenue, Salford. If you’re interested in helping please email: liam.turner@salixhomes.org or ben.cruickshanks@salixhomes.org
