Salix Homes tenancy support officer makes TV debut after heroic actions

The heroic actions of Salix Home’s very own tenancy support officer Keeley Jeng were featured on prime-time BBC series –Ambulance.

On the final episode of the series, which aired on Thursday, July 11, Keeley was seen coming to the rescue of a homeless man after she found him collapsed in the street.

Keeley called the ambulance and waited with him while paramedics arrived and she continues to support him today as he attempts to get his life back on track.

Keeley, who works for our Housing Options Service in Trafford, has been providing ongoing support to Dean, the homeless man featured, and has since supported him off the streets and into a home.

From the high-pressure control rooms to the crews on the street, the series provides the public with an extraordinary behind the scenes look into the day-to-day realities of the ambulance service. In the fifth series of the programme, BBC film crews have captured hard-hitting and heart-warming stories as they follow the North West Ambulance Service.

Following the episode, there has been a great outpouring of public support for both Keeley and roughsleeper Dean on social media.

After seeing some of the kind feedback, Keeley said: “I would hope anyone would do the same. Thank you for all the kind words.”
